Epic charting experience required Description: This is a Medical
Surgical unit that primarily serves patients with specialties in
ENT, plastics, cystic fibrosis, general surgery, and
medical-surgical. The unit sees a wide variety of interesting
cases. Charting experience with Epic is required. Every other
weekend is required. This position allows for floating within the
scope to meet facility needs. Candidates with a pending license are
accepted. All requests for time off must be submitted with the
application. Additional time off after signing will be at the
manager's discretion. Special requirements include a need for a
COVID-19 vaccine, with medical or religious exemptions only.
Required skills include chest tube management, oxygen
administration, telemetry monitoring, and wound care. The daily
census on the unit is approximately 24 patients. Interdisciplinary
support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social
services. This unit provides care for adults and geriatric
patients. Candidates will need to complete an OSHA Respirator
clearance before starting. Travelers cannot work past one year as a
traveler and must take a six-month break before returning.
