Job Description:
Find your calling at Mercy! Overview: Utilizes the nursing
process to provide patient care. Maintains professional
accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned
patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by
other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in
conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and
confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and
responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values,
and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Premium Night Shift
Sign On Bonus: Graduate Nurse $10,000 Experienced Nurse $13,000
Cardiac Med Intermediate (PCU) RN 24 hours per week, Nights Mercy
Hospital Jefferson Festus, MO 63028 We are also known as the
Progressive Care Unit or PCU. Our unit is an intermediate unit that
is a step down from our transitional care but a step above med/surg
as far as patient acuity Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic. No
vents. - Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no
vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc. then mix of any
other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is
too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care. Fast paced unit
combining aspects of ED and ICU into one departmentbusyness of ED &
critical care aspect of ICU. Requires and builds strong assessment
skills and teamwork Qualifications: Education: Graduated from a
school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current
RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in
which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of
nursing requirements. Certifications: - Basic Life Support
certification through the American Heart Association or successful
