future with us. The Boeing Missile and Weapon Systems Team located
in St. Charles, MO is seeking a middle career Navigation Analyst to
join a diverse group of Engineers in developing the next generation
of a leading edge Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. The new
GPS receiver will have application on a wide range of programs to
provide state of the art Navigator solutions to our customers that
precisely tell the host platform where it is located, how it is
oriented, and where it is going. Position Responsibilities: Support
and guide team efforts to develop models and simulation tools that
represent the performance and operation of navigation related
equipment such as: A new Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver.
An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). Support and guide team efforts
to use the developed models and simulation tools to: Predict
navigation performance. Develop navigation algorithms. Define
requirements for implementing navigation algorithms in software.
Support and guide team efforts to conduct laboratory testing and
flight testing to: Measure/validate navigation performance relative
to design requirements. Troubleshoot operational/service anomalies
regarding delivered products. Support and guide team efforts to
analyze data from navigation equipment procured from various
Suppliers to ensure compliance to requirements. Work under general
supervision with a significant degree of independence. This
position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Significant
experience with computer programming using software languages such
as C, C#, C++, FORTRAN, Python, or other common programming
languages. Significant experience with developing or using modeling
and simulation tools. Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Project leadership experience and experience
providing general guidance to other team members for project
tasking. Significant knowledge of estimation theory (e.g. Kalman
filtering). Significant knowledge of GPS receiver operation.
Significant knowledge of inertial navigation. Significant knowledge
of advanced mathematical principles as applied to aerospace
analysis and modeling. Examples could include transform methods,
computational geometry, numerical linear algebra, optimization,
computational math, numerical analysis, and Monte Carlo analysis.
Significant navigation system design or analysis experience.
Significant experience using Matlab/Simulink. Typical Education /
Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through
advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
