As data requirements for residences and businesses continue to expand, Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the home platform to serve this critical unmet need in our communities. Gateway provides a faster, more reliable internet that is paired with a simple pricing model and exceptional customer service. With the support of its financial sponsor, Crosstimbers Capital Group, the company is initially investing more than $150 million to build a future proof network in Greater St. Louis and is actively developing plans to expand nationally. Expected Outcomes and Requirements: With Gateway's rapid growth comes aggressive plans for construction of Gateway's network as the company looks to triple the size of its current network of serviceable homes and businesses. Gateway is hiring a Material Handler to enable a more timely, efficient, and consistent flow of materials between our material suppliers and internal users. The Material Handler is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:

  • Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated locations.
  • Prepare and maintain records including dates of transactions, locations, and other relevant information for all shipped and received material.
  • Review shipments for quality and accuracy.
    • Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments as requested by our internal and external partners.
    • Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using the approved transportation vehicle, e.g., hand trucks or skids, forklifts, vehicle).
    • Communicates, resolves, and escalates problems as they arise.
    • Collects and disposes of scrap and waste material in accordance with approved SOP's.
    • Understands and adheres to safe-work behaviors, SOP's, quality standards, and business practices. The successful candidate will bring the following to the table:
      • Demonstrated capability to understand and adhere to safe-work behaviors, SOP's, quality standards and business practices.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Strong mathematic skills.
        • Functional capability using electronic material tracking systems.
        • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related products.
        • Self-starter and efficient at managing time.
        • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or relevant coursework or formal training in related field preferred.
        • At least two-years of related experience required.
          • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
          • Prolonged periods of time walking, standing, and manipulating.
          • Must be able to lift 55 pounds at a time. What's in it for you?
