Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking Electrical Engineers (Level 3 and 4) with Electronic Systems Design and Analysis experience to join the Weapons electrical engineering team located in St. Charles, MO. The team is seeking motivated individuals to work with a multi-discipline engineering team to design, develop, and test weapons system avionics and ground-based systems equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support development, integration and test of weapons system avionics such as mission computers, tail actuation systems and carriage electronic systems, as well as ground-based systems such as launch systems and weapons simulators
  • Assist with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Develop and/or modify basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.
  • Perform validation / verification tests to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies
  • Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and requirements compliance
  • Research basic technologies for potential application to weapons business needs This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering is highly desired
      • Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment - previous design team or special project team participation is desired
      • Ability to conceive, develop, optimize, maintain and modify electronic/electrical system designs based on requirements is desired
      • Experience working in a lab environment (e.g. HW/SW interfaces/integration, creating/conducting configuration testing, troubleshooting, proficiency using general lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters and analyzers) is highly desired
      • Experience using design, simulation and modeling tools (e.g. Mentor Capital, MATLAB, SIMULINK, PSPICE) is desired Typical Education/Experience:

        Mid-Level (Level 3)

        Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

        Lead (Level 4)

        Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

        Relocation:

        This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

        Summary pay range for mid-level: $96,050 - $129,050

        Summary pay range for lead level: $119,850 - $162,150
