Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to join the Weapons Engineering Team for a large aerospace and defense program in Saint Charles, MO. The selected candidate for this position will join the team supporting the critical missions on the Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) programs.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits. This position is expected to last 6 months to 1 year.

This opportunity is a hybrid role and will allow for some remote work (i.e. work from home a few days a week).

Key Duties:

• Apply and lead interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify system solutions.
• Define and coordinate system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters.
• Develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Perform analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex weapons and platform integration problems.
• Define high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements.
• Allocate lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and track them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation.
• Develop verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.
• Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.
• Performs design engineering and analysis.
• Performs circuit design (PWB layout, thermal analyses, power analyses, EMI analyses).
• Performs software development, testing, and integration.
• Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, survivability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security), and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
• Develop Model-Based Engineering (MBE) tools, processes, and architectures.
• Develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes, and architectures.
• Manage the configuration, data, and workflow of program-specific MBSE tools and processes.
• Establish protocol/process for the integration of engineering tools with MBSE. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
  
  Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • 3 or more years of Engineering experience.
  • Experience working independently and in team environments.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a technical degree. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
    • Active or Interim Secret clearance or above.
    • Experience applying systems engineering processes and principles.
    • Experience with systems development and integration.
    • Experience modeling or simulating systems.
    • Experience with the implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO).
    • Experience with Model Based Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering.
    • Experience in design/electrical/software engineering and analysis.
    • Experience in Industrial or Production Engineering.
    • Degree obtained from an ABET accredited course of study.
