We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Leader of Advising serves as both a leader and technical subject matter expert in the Solutions area for the firm. This role will help shape the future of financial planning and lead the strategies to support the evolution of our firms Advice & Guidance. Much of this work requires a broad and deep understanding of the firm's advice and guidance - and the branch and client experience - in order to ensure the integrity of advice and guidance throughout the firm. The teams lead by this role work with both digital and non-digital aspects of financial planning. This role requires both formal people leadership and thought leadership, as well as informal leadership through large firm initiatives. Responsibilities include:Performs the duties of an Senior Advising Specialist plus leadership responsibilities.Lead the associates who partner with internal Advice (A) units (Financial Planning, Investment Research and Investment Management) to help create and shape A at Edward Jones. This requires an expert level knowledge of our A and how it's deployed firm-wide.Lead associates in the evaluation of the firm's A content to ensure consistency and alignment. Has a deep understanding of Edward Jones business model, investment philosophy and values.Oversee the process of updating and applying our A (e.g. CMAs, white papers, strategy reports, diagnostics, portfolio construction, etc.) through all firm delivery channels.Serve as a deep subject matter expert (SME) for key stakeholders (Training, Service, CSG) and branch teams to ensure the integrity of the A is upheld through application and messaging.Collaborate with key stakeholders as the A SME throughout the life cycle of projects, including planning, design and implementation.Use trends derived from internal A workflow to identify potential enhancements andor changes needed to our A Articulate the business case for any content or application changes by partnering with stakeholders.Assess industry and regulatory trend data in financial and investment planning in order to contribute to strategic discussions on how to evolve our A to best serve our clients.Work in partnership with associates on team and other firm areas (Service, Field Supervision, Compliance, Legal, Operations) to problem-solve complex issues that arise regarding application of our AFor advanced A topics, production issues andor complex branch team escalations, lead and coordinate needed expertise from other A units. Manage the most complex A irregularities, disruptions and issues.Handle significant escalations from internal stakeholders and branches related to client account activity or issues with our A by using seasoned judgment to implement solutions and helping direct resources to achieve results.Achieve results with and through others; serve as a Leader and mentor to others across the firm.Responsible for developing associates on the team.Monitor industry trends, competitors and regulatory changes. Assess how those trends impact our business, messaging and the application of our A Broad exposure to and strong foundational knowledge of investments, financial planning, financial planning tools and project management process.Bachelor degree; if no CFP, CPA, CIMA, CFA, law degree or other relevant license, then an MBA is required.10+ years of relevant financial services experienceCFP, CPA, CIMA, CFA, law degree or other relevant designation. If none, an MBA is required.
