Northrop Grumman is currently recruiting for a Functional Manager to lead our Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineering organization within our Launch Vehicles Division. Position will be located in Chandler, Arizona.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
Take pride and ownership of the career development, mentorship, and motivation of RF engineering team members.
Work with program management teams and Electrical Engineering department program leads to allocate RF engineering support across multiple launch vehicle programs.
Personal interaction with the Director of Electrical Engineering (DEE) to provide technical and program related status.
Work with RF Team members, Electrical Engineering Department managers, and DEE to implement improvements to increase the RF team efficiency, quality of products, and engineering process on a continual basis.
Forecast potential technical and program related problems that may impact optimal engineering, schedule and cost results. Report the concerns to the DEE.
Provide assistance as required to RF system engineers to prioritize specific tasks. Escalate and remove obstacles when schedule, prioritization, and staffing conflicts exist among more than one program.
Ensure each member of the RF engineering team complies with department engineering standards, corporate policies, and procedures including time keeping, training and ethics.
Work with business development, continuous improvement team, vendors, and other engineering departments to generate new technology development and provide training to RF engineering team
Basic Qualifications:
Requires BS in Electrical Engineering (or related)
9 years of experience including 2 years of experience leading a team
Demonstrated ability to provide support and assistance for each RF engineering team member.
Ability to be politely assertive with program offices and other stake holders as necessary, in support of RF team members.
Strong communication skills and an ongoing positive demeanor.
Provide presentations and status, as required, to program personnel as well as executive management.
Basic understanding of system level RF engineering with the ability to learn detailed analysis, design and test.
Ability to use tools developed with Python or MATLAB.
U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous RF system engineering within the aerospace sector is highly desired.
Agile methodology, Agile Implementation, ICARD, and Jira experience is desired
