Job Description Job Description Job Classification: Full-Time, non-exempt Reports To: Operations Manager Our Custom Crating company is seeking a reliable individual with experience in wood production and assembly to join our St Louis warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience constructing custom wooden crates and will be responsible for building such crates to each of our customer’s specifications. This position is located in St. Louis County. Duties & Responsibilities: - Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints - Safely operate power tools and related equipment to manufacture individually designed wood crates. - Work up bill of material - Generate cut sheet - Cut out materials that are required - Follow ASTM/Mil spec guidelines for building the crate - Impeccable attendance and punctuality required - Coordinate with teammates to prioritize workflow - Assist teammates when needed - Share in the housekeeping necessary to maintain a clean and safe warehouse / work environment - Keep tools in good working order and notify supervisor immediately of any quality issues Skills / Experience Requirements: - Ability to read a tape measure - Experience with crate building tools including but not limited to: - - panel saws - table saws - radial arm saws - assorted nail guns - assorted power hand tools - Ability to lift and handle up to 100 pounds (4 x 8 x 3?4 plywood is 67 pounds) - Skills and desire necessary to maintain the highest quality of product for the customer - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively - Attention to detail What’s in it for you? - A competitive salary to launch or continue your career - Competitive health benefits package including no cost dental coverage for employee (additional cost for dependents) - Profit sharing program - Work – Life balance with above average PTO plan & occasional opportunities to work remotely - Company-wide employee appreciation activities - Company matched 401K (fully vested after 1 year of employment) - Phenomenal company culture that is upbeat, team oriented and continually recognizes its employees
