The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Engineer- Developer (Mid Level or Senior) to support our Phantom Works Advanced Mission Planning team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. Phantom Works is an advanced research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through cutting-edge visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets. The organization is seeking software engineers to perform software design and development for autonomous systems. The selected team member enjoys working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement, and is successful working in a multi-contract/multi-program environment. He/she will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. He/she should be adaptable to new development environments and eager to work with and learn new technologies. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid Level or Senior Software Engineers. Position Responsibilities: - Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. - Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products. - Lead junior engineers in software development - Perform use case development for software requirements - Perform software architecture trade studies and modifications to meet new requirements - Develop interface definitions - Perform unit and integration testing - Participate in peer reviews - Support system and flight testing - Create software documentation Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): - Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline experience or 13 years' related relevant work experience - Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start) - 5 years of Software Engineering experience - 3 years of C++ - 2 years Autonomy and/or robotics software techniques - 2 years of experience in real time software development experience - 3 years of experience with Agile Software development process Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science - Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance - Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience with Mission Systems architectures and Open Missions Systems (OMS) and/or Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) - Familiar with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and/or Radar - Simulation development experience - Experience with Continuous integration practices - Usage of software development tools such as JIRA, GIT and Jenkins - Software testing experience Travel: 10% Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. Summary Pay Range for Experienced: $126,650 - $171,350 Summary Pay Range for Senior: $160,650 - $217,350 Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
