The Tech Fixed Income Trading team manages numerous critical proprietary and vendor-supported applications, used daily by our home office associates and over 15,000 branch teams in the US and Canada to trade, support, and service fixed income trading functions. What You'll Do:

• Act as a senior level full stack developer as a Java expert
• Provide guidance to test automation engineers to write automated test suites and build them into the CI/CD pipelines
• Translate business requirements into system design, work directly with Trading business analysts and product owners on requirements, prepare detailed technical specifications, and provide hour or story point estimates
• Complete development tasks with minimal direction to design, code, test, debug, and/or maintain programs.
• Provide system support, including on-call rotation (a handful of times per year), troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other associates, including performing code peer reviews, suggesting best practices and following SDLC processes
• Help drive our application modernization including rewriting legacy systems What You'll Need:
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Java application development and support; a Java expert
  • Experience developing new web applications and utilizing modern web technologies such as Spring, REST, React, JavaScript/jQuery, Thymeleaf, JPA, Kubernetes, Junit, Selenium, and RestAssured
  • Willingness to upskill outside of the traditional Java world as needed, such as Linux What Will Set You Apart:
    • Experience with Kafka, MongoDB, Oracle DB, Spring Batch, Linux shell/bash scripting, and FIX
    • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, SRE, or Agile practices
