Summary
Responsible for owning and controlling direction of various
components of the MiTek Machinery software solutions. Works
directly with various Machinery/Production Product Managers on
short and long-term planning on both existing and new Machinery
software solutions. Responsible for writing operational
requirements for Machinery software solutions including Design,
Documentation and verification of features and functionality.
Provides technical support assistance and training for support of
new features and functionality. Works directly with customers to
determine market needs, run customer research efforts, and to
determine competitive environment needs. Is an active and critical
member of an Agile Development scrum team within software
development process and is a key part of the decision-making group
to assess risk of various projects alongside project manager,
software developers, QA managers, and other stakeholders such as
the Product Portfolio Manager for Machinery/Production
Solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities:
* Product Ownership
* Product ownership for various Machinery and Production software
applications across the suite (Old and New), including but not
limited to Board Stretcher, Blade Saw, MatchPoint Planx and Wizard
PDS, Hornet Saw, TASS, Momentum Saw, CyberAT, etc.
* Experience delivering successful outcomes for software projects
across the software development life cycle to a deadline.
* Leading and owning a Software Product and/or Software Projects
within MiTek's Software offering
* Leads and owns a subsystem in a complex product in development
and/or leads a complex project
* Oversees and owns Backlog maintenance of Product and/or
Projects
* Oversees and develops User Stories / Requirements for Project and
Product needs
* Owns and creates vision planning for Projects and/or subset of
Product
* Owns specific area of logic in a complex product/project or
oversees the entirety of ownership over a smaller
product/project.
* Customer Relationship:
* Key contributor towards customer discovery efforts and customer
exchanges
* Creates and leads various customer exchanges
* Software Development Skills:
* Stays current with software technologies and standards in
software development and applies those in their work
* Software Lifecycle Expertise:
* Understands all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle and
applies that knowledge effectively as a product manager
* Follows and executes existing MiTek best practices in software
development effectively and efficiently
* Project Management:
* Oversee and drive project timing and deliveries across a
Project

* Supervisor or Managerial Requirements:
* Occasionally mentors Software interns or new Associate Software
Product Managers
* Domain Knowledge:
* Ability to rapidly gain domain expertise both locally and
globally
* Recognized as an expert in a portion of the offerings you
oversee
Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years of product management experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite
* Passion for learning new technologies and brainstorming ideas
with a wide range of stakeholders and customers
* Ability to foster new and existing relationships with a variety
of personality types.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Production and Machinery software applications
used by Wood Component Manufactures and/or experience with Human
Machine Interfaces and Process Control Systems highly preferred
* Wood Truss and Wall panel manufacturing industry knowledge and
background preferred
* Experience managing software products preferred
* Experience with automation equipment or machinery desired
* Experience in a manufacturing environment or construction
industry preferred
* Experience with SQL databases preferred
* Experience working in a software development environment
preferred
* Familiarity with software development environments like C# or
Visual Basic .NET is beneficial but not required
In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay For Equal Work Act, the
pay range for this position is estimated at $90k-$110k/year. Base
pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills and
