Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post
Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of critical care
experience License: Valid state nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG interpretation/management of
dysrhythmias, IV start, Telemetry Must-Have: Proficiency in
managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple
drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation. Experience in
a Level I Trauma Center is preferred. Epic charting experience is
required. Candidate must pass a Relias EKG exam. Description: The
Registered Nurse will work primarily rotating between the PACU and
the pre/post interventional radiology area. The schedule consists
of three night shifts per week with 24 hours of on-call duty over a
six-week period. Ratios will be 1:2 for patient care. Weekend
requirements are not applicable. The PACU nurses are responsible
for the recovery of various surgical patients, including GU, GYN,
colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, bariatric, and some ENT
cases. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to manage
complex patients recovering from anesthesia. The role includes the
recovery of patients with multiple drains and vasoactive
medications, as well as ventilation needs. Teamwork and
collaboration with interdisciplinary support services are
essential. This position offers the opportunity to work within a
