patients Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered
Nurse for our Medical Surgical Oncology unit. This position
operates on a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours. The nurse will
care for adult patients with medical, surgical, and oncology needs.
Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during the night shift. The role requires
participating in weekend shifts, with a commitment to covering
shifts every other weekend. Candidates must possess current BLS and
NIH certifications. Experience with using rapid response and code
teams is expected. The nurse should be adept at administering and
monitoring chemotherapy and managing ports. Candidates must
demonstrate ability to interpret dysrhythmias and start and
maintain IVs. Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge is essential
for this position. EPIC is the charting system used, and prior
experience with this system is required. Traveling nurses will be
expected to float within the hospital as needed to meet patient
care demands. No on-call duties are required for this position. The
facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 233 staffed
