Job Description:

SSM Health, a leading not-for-profit Catholic health system, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Specialty Technologist certified in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. This full-time position is crucial for our state-of-the-art surgical teams, providing specialized care that aligns with our mission to deliver comprehensive health services. The ideal candidate will support cardiovascular surgeons through the preparation and handling of instruments and equipment during surgeries, ensuring a sterile and safe surgical environment. Prepare operating rooms for surgery including ensuring that all necessary supplies and surgical tools are sterile and properly set up. Assist in cardiovascular surgeries by handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and performing other duties as directed by the surgeon. Collaborate with surgeons and surgical staff to maintain a sterile environment and uphold all aseptic practices during procedures. Follow all protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in post-operative duties including room cleanup, instrument sterilization, and preparation for subsequent surgeries. Proficiency in operating and maintaining surgical equipment and instruments Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of sterility standards and infection control protocols Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures required BLS/CPR certification
