Job Description:
SSM Health is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our
team for evening shifts, delivering compassionate and skilled care
within our state-of-the-art health system. As a key member of our
imaging team, you will help provide comprehensive health services
across the Midwest, supporting our mission as a Catholic,
not-for-profit organization. This role requires proficiency in
conducting computerized tomography scans, strong communication
skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will play
a crucial role in the imaging process from preparation through to
the analysis of results, ensuring patient comfort and safety while
maintaining the highest standards of radiological technology.
Operate CT equipment to produce scans as ordered by physicians.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures. Prep
for procedures by reviewing medical histories and determining
appropriate radiographic techniques. Maintain patient records and
add medical notes related to the CT scans. Collaborate with
radiologists to evaluate images and determine the need for
additional scans. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to
prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation. Provide patient care and
education regarding the CT scan process. Assist in maintaining CT
equipment, troubleshooting issues and ensuring operational
efficiency. Proficiency in CT technology and techniques Strong
understanding of radiological safety and patient care protocols
Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work
independently and make decisions quickly Technical skills to
operate complex machinery and computer systems Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Certified and
registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT) Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist CT
certification preferred
