Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: PACU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (10:45 AM - 11:15 PM) Experience: Minimum 5 years required License: Active IL RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Background in acute care and trauma nursing - Experience in a Level I trauma center preferred - Required certifications must be from AHA or Red Cross - Charting experience with Cerner is necessary Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The average daily census is approximately 60 patients. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. The role requires active certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. An active Illinois RN license is mandatory for application. On-call duty is required, and accommodation for block scheduling can be discussed during the interview. Local candidates are welcome to apply. It is preferred that candidates do not have more than 5 days of time off during the assignment. If the client cancels shifts beyond a specified limit, they will be billed for the extra hours. Candidates may be placed on-call instead of being called off, which will count as a cancelation. The facility is an acute care hospital with Level I trauma designation. The total number of staffed beds is 562. Staff will be provided with scrubs. Experience with various surgical procedures and emergency management is essential. The unit will contain different patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates should be prepared to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliates as needed. This is a sensitive position, requiring completion of all compliance needs timely and maintaining good attendance throughout the assignment. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period. Documentation such as identification and references must be handled promptly prior to starting the assignment. Behavioral and attendance issues will not be tolerated during the contract. Non-billable hours for modules are limited, and completion is required on the first day.
