working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in
Springfield, Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience
required. License: Must have active state license to apply.
Certifications: BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have:
Required work setting experience includes telemetry, neuro
stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC, and stepdown. Description: Position is for a
Stepdown/PCU RN. Candidates will work every other weekend. Will
float as needed to meet facility requirements. Open to
accommodating block schedules as discussed with management. Minimum
1 year experience required, first-timers not accepted. Must have
experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Skills
required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use
of Rapid Response Teams, and telemetry monitoring. Experience with
post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac catheterization,
and pre/post cardiac surgery is required. Knowledge of feeding tube
care and management is necessary. Experience with pre/post
hemodialysis management and renal failure is required. IV therapy
experience must include accessing ports, arterial line management,
blood product administration, and central line care. Candidates
must be able to manage medications including heparin protocols and
titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. Neurological/psychiatric case
experience should include craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery,
spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. Orthopedic case
experience is required for ortho trauma and total joint
replacements. Experience in respiratory care, including care of
ventilated patients and interpretation of ABGs, is essential. Other
essential skills include wound care and isolation precautions.
Candidates should have experience in a fast-paced environment with
a high patient throughput. Patient-to-nurse ratios will typically
be 1:4. The unit serves adults with a variety of diagnoses.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory
services, and pharmacy. Charting experience is required in specific
electronic health record systems. Ideal candidates will consider
working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Candidates should be prepared to
