Responsibilities encompass managing clinical operations, ensuring adherence to medical standards, and engaging in community outreach initiatives. You will thrive in a collaborative academic setting within a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis hospital that is involved in advanced treatments and clinical trials. Our organization is eager to welcome a full-time academic neurologist specializing in stroke care to our innovative team. This position provides a unique chance to contribute to clinical excellence while participating in teaching and research within a supportive academic environment. Main Responsibilities: Deliver expert clinical care to stroke patients, maintaining the highest standards of practice for this population. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure call coverage during holidays, vacations, and other absences. Manage a private office and oversee all clinical decision-making during service hours. Act as an advisor and consultant on operational policies, including: Capital allocations and purchasing Participation in managed care plans Budget management and practice expenses Involvement with Medicare/Medicaid Billing and collections oversight Personnel management Risk management and quality assurance Coding compliance Provide after-hours call coverage for practice patients in addition to scheduled office visits. Engage in community outreach activities, including speaking engagements, writing, and special clinical programs. Ensure adherence to risk management, coding, and quality assurance standards.
