They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The role demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. The position requires coverage of evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
