qualified Oncology RN in Springfield, Illinois, 62781! Pay

Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration:
13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1
year of experience required. License: Must have an active Illinois

Certifications: Chemotherapy certification preferred. Must-Have:
Required Chemotherapy Skills/Experience: Administration of
chemotherapy. Body fluid handling post-chemotherapy. Continuous
infusion of chemotherapy. IV push administration of chemotherapy.
Management and disposal of cytotoxic spills. Monitoring
chemotherapy. Oral administration of chemotherapy. Recognizing and
communicating abnormal lab values. Required IV Therapy/Infusion
Skills/Experience: Accessing ports. Administration of coagulation
factors. Administration of antifungals and antivirals. Blood and
blood product administration. Care and management of ports. Central
line blood draw and care. PICC line care. Starting IVs.
Description: This position requires a registered nurse with
experience in oncology. The shift is 4x12 or 3x12 days, able to
accommodate 3x12 shifts if requested. The average daily census is
24 patients with 24 rooms/beds available. Weekend work will be
required on an every other weekend basis. The clinician may float
within scope to meet facility needs. A candidate must be able to
secure housing and complete all compliance needs in a timely
manner. The registered nurse will be responsible for patient care
and administering chemotherapy as per protocols. Floating is
required of all travelers, and candidates will float within the
hospital or to nearby facilities as needed. Candidates should
communicate any scheduling requests to management. The hospital is
an acute care facility with 562 staffed beds and a level I trauma
center designation. Charting will be done using Cerner. This role
requires adherence to all policies and standards set forth by the
