We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The API office is a multidisciplinary team established to support Edward Jones API journey. The API Office is tasked to own and operate Edward Jones API Management Platform, provide API expertise to product teams, create Edward Jones API-related best practices and standards and evangelize the role of APIs in Edward Jones digital strategy.

The API Office -Platform Engineer will be responsible for the configuration, install, scaling and support of the API Management Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Build, operate, scale, and troubleshoot the on premise and cloud deployment of the API Platform infrastructure.
• Creation and maintenance of knowledgebase/technical documentation supporting the API Management platform.
• Troubleshooting incidents and driving root cause analysis as it pertains to the API Management platform and it's deployed assets
• Responsible for capacity management of the API Management platform.
  • Responsible for API Management platform and its currency to ensure capabilities are meeting the Firms requirements and API developers have access to the platforms latest features.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives that includes automation, to enable and support execution of the API Office strategic objectives.
      • Support of disaster recovery initiatives related to the API Management platform and it's deployed assets
      • Maintain the health of the API Management platform and API assets using DevOps methodologies to deliver automated solutions that enhance and harden monitoring and alerting, deployment processes and scaling solutions.
        • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
        • Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation, configuration management and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructures
        • Knowledge of configuring monitoring solutions and the creation of dashboards (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
        • Experience with both Linux and Windows environments and scripting languages - bash, python, Ruby, Powershell, etc.
        • Some experience with containers and container orchestration software platforms Docker, Docker Registry, Kubernetes, etc.
        • Experience with API Management preferred
        • Software development experience (Java, Go, Node JS) preferred
