Orchard Farm School District is seeking an outstanding team member to join our maintenance department! The Landscape/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining areas around all campus locations and assisting to prepare the athletic fields and other specific areas as directed by supervisor. This position has daily district courier responsibilities and will also assist with the maintenance and custodial department at times. Located in St, Charles, MO with a current enrollment of approximately 2,600 students our district is mostly situated between Highway 370 and north to West Alton, MO where the two rivers meet. An individual who holds this position is required to: Maintaining fields and areas around campus as directed by Supervisor Operates powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers. Daily courier between buildings and bank deposits Snow removal during winter months Assist maintenance and custodial department as assigned by Supervisor Assisting with all the district’s athletic fields, including the baseball fields, softball fields, the football/soccer field and the track and field areas. Assisting with the practice fields and physical education areas. Assisting to prepare the fields for games and tournaments. Assisting with laying out, striping and marking the fields to meet all requirements and regulations. Monitoring the practice and game schedules and keeping in contact with the Activities Director. Performs other tasks as directed by Supervisor Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance. Ability to operate all types of landscaping and grounds equipment; commercial mowers, skid loaders, tractors, turf and irrigation equipment. Ability to closely monitor the district's calendar and sports schedules and prioritize workload. Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form Ability to follow written and oral communication Ability to problem solve Salary: Starting rate $19.00 - $21.40 per hour Shift: School Year: 7:00a.m. until 3:30p.m. M-F Summer Hours: 4/10 hour days; 7:00 until 5:00 M-Th
