From custom composite decks and screened porches to three-season rooms, aluminum railings, and under-deck systems, we focus on craftsmanship that homeowners love and that stands the test of time. As we grow, we're looking for an experienced Deck Lead to guide our tight-knit crew and help us continue delivering outstanding results. This isn't a position where you'll be just another number on a large crew. You'll have a meaningful voice in how we build, solve problems on site, and shape the direction of the company. Your leadership and expertise will directly influence every project and our reputation in the community. What You'll Do - Lead our crew through the full construction and renovation of custom decks, screened porches, three-season rooms, and related outdoor structures - Read and interpret blueprints and drawings; execute different decking designs and layouts - Accurately cut custom stair stringers and ensure all work remains fully building-code compliant - Oversee framing, composite decking installation, railing systems, under-deck systems, and high-quality finish carpentry - Manage job site logistics — material orders with suppliers, daily crew coordination, and client communication - Safely operate power tools and carpentry equipment; maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site - Represent Complete Decks and Renovations professionally with customers, co-workers, and suppliers What We're Looking For - Minimum 3 years of hands-on deck construction or carpentry experience - Demonstrated ability to cut custom stair stringers and maintain code compliance - Portfolio of previous deck builds required - Proven ability to lead and manage a small team effectively - Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and safety practices - Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; ability to travel to job sites across the St. Louis metro and surrounding counties - Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably outdoors in Missouri's changing weather - Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful approach with clients and crew alike - A genuine commitment to quality and pride in your craft Compensation & Schedule - $30–$40/hr based on experience and skill level - Full-time, steady work — primarily spring through fall - Mileage reimbursement for candidates who use their own truck for job-site travel - Weekly pay - Real opportunities for growth and leadership in a company where your contributions are noticed and valued If you're a skilled carpenter who takes pride in your work, enjoys leading a small crew, and wants to be part of a growing local business where your ideas matter — we'd love to hear from you.
